Mr. Benjamin L. Smith, age 93, of West Point, Georgia passed away on Thursday, January 17th, 2019 at the EAMC Lanier Memorial Hospital in Valley. Mr. Smith was born on November 4th, 1924 in Alabama. Mr. Smith was a member of the Lanett First United Methodist Church.

He retired from the Lanett Bleachery and Dye Works. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Smith, West Point, Georgia; and several other family members. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 19th, 2019 at 2:00P.M. EST at the Roper Heights Baptist Church with the Reverend Eddie Striblin and the Reverend Rusty Williams officiating.

Interment will follow in Marseilles Cemetery in West Point, Georgia. His family will be receiving friends at the church on Saturday from 1:00P.M. EST until the service hour. Flowers will be accepted or the family suggests that memorials be made in his memory to Roper Heights Baptist Church.

Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home of Valley is directing.
