Mrs. Sadie Rebecca Duncan Chase, age 91, of Lanett, AL passed away on Tuesday, February 19th, 2019 at her residence. She was born on July 7th, 1927 in Rome, GA to the late Ernest and Willie Mae Crabtree. Mrs. Chase is survived by her husband, Herbert Chase, four daughters, Elaine Mashburn, Sheila Price, Darlene (Steve) Bordeaux, and Brenda (Danny) Williams; step daughter, Stephanie (Trey) Reese; ten grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Charles H. Duncan; brother, James “Buddy” Crabtree; sons in law, Don Price and Bobby Ray Mashburn; great-great grandson, David Ray Irelan. Mrs. Chase was a member of West Side Baptist Church. She was a very caring and outgoing person who enjoyed helping others.

She loved her husband, her family, and her friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 22nd, 2019 at 11:00 AM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday morning from 10:00 AM (EST) until the service hour at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made in memory of Mrs. Chase to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.
