Ms. Jena Hill, age 58, of Valley passed away on Tuesday, February 12th, 2019 at the Bethany House in Auburn, Alabama. Ms. Hill was born on January 30th, 1961 in Langdale, Alabama. Ms. Hill was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Valley.

She loved her church and her church family. She was the manager of the Fred’s Store in Lanett and loved her work family. Jena was a very artistic and creative person who loved to draw.

She is survived by her children, Gina Marie Brooks, Amanda Johns, Ashley (Chris) Brown, Jessica Kennerson, Arron Kennerson; mother, Lucy Ellen Busby; sisters, Wendy (Charles) Davis, Joyce (Martin) Ford; brothers, James (Julie) Abston, Larry (Cheryl) Abston; grandchildren, Halie Brooks, Eric Johns, Jordyn Brown; great great-grandchildren, Maddy Brooks. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 15th, 2019 at 2:00P.M. EST at the Emmanuel Baptist Church with interment following in Resthaven Cemetery. Dr. Darren White officiating.

The family will be receiving friends at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley on Thursday from 6:00P.M. EST until 8:00P.M. EST. Flowers will be accepted or the family suggests that memorials be made in Jena’s name to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
