Obituary for Benny ‘Ben’ Morgan Benny ‘Ben’ Morgan, 68, of Mancelona, passed away July 20, 2018 with his loving wife by his side. Ben was born September 7, 1949 to the late Leon and Helene (Semmler) Morgan in Traverse City. Ben honorably served in the US Navy with Patrol Squadron 48 as a radio communications operator during the Vietnam War.

He worked in the electrical industry retiring from Consumers Energy then working for METC, ITC and finally Utility Lines Construction Services. On October 5, 2000 he married his dream girl Lisa Nieporte. Together they experienced the world hand in hand.

He was a true blessing in everyone’s life that he touched. Ben has lived in the area his entire life. He was a member of the American Legion, and enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, traveling and his motorcycles.

His greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren as his family is always what meant the most to him. He always cherished the memories of the times shared with family and friends. Ben is survived and missed dearly by his wife Lisa, his son Bryan (Jacquelynn) Morgan, his daughter Heidi (Todd) Fessler, his son Tyler Morgan, his brothers Larry (Shirley) Morgan and Dennis (Sheila) Morgan, his sister Cindy (Jon) Lawrence, his grandchildren Brooke, Seth, Cody, Kellen and Savannah and his great grand son Conner.

He is preceded in death by his parents. A visitation will take place Thursday July 26, 2018 from 5-7pm at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place Friday July 27, 2018 at 11:00am also at the funeral home with visitation one hour prior.

Ben’s final resting place will be Kingsley Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Ben’s honor may be made to the charity of ones choice. Please visit www.
