Berdena “Bernie” Nelson, 90, of Cransville, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Edinboro on Nov.

5, 1927, the daughter of the late Claude and Mabel Zimmer. Berdena worked at G.E. in Erie and RPC Valve for many years. She was a member of the Washington Valley Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Steven Ronto in 1979; 3 brothers, Robert, James and C. Raymond Zimmer; also a step-son, Fredrick Nelson. Survivors include her loving husband, Carl J. Nelson, two sons, Steven (Susan) Ronto of Franklin Center, Bradley Ronto of Buffalo, NY; step-son, Carl (Kelly) Nelson of Seven Springs, NC; two daughters, Debra (Thomas) Ptaskiewicz of Orlando, FL, Lisa (Jack) Kempka of Larksville, PA; step-daughter, Amy Zlobin of Fairview; also, 10 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 pm until the time of a funeral service at 8:30 p.m. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery.
