BERNADETTE’s Obituary Mrs. Bernadette Discepolo, 71, died February 18, 2019 at Sebastian River Medical Center in Sebastian, FL. She was born in Staten Island, New York and lived in Sebastian for the past 4 years, coming from Howell for 30 years prior. She retired from the U.S. Postal Service and after provided child care for many families for nearly 25 years before moving to Sebastian, FL.

She was a member of the St. Sebastian Catholic Church, in Sebastian where she volunteered as a Eucharistic Minister, bringing the Eucharist to Pelican Landing Assisted Living. She also, worked at the Food Ministry in Sebastian, providing meal home-bound seniors of Sebastian. Bernadette was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother of her husband Christopher Discepolo and her 4 children, Denise Gibbs, Debbie Guthrie, John O’Brien and Christopher Discepolo, along with 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm & 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Friday, February 22, 2019 at Strunk Funeral Home, Sebastian, FL with a Prayer service be held at 6:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Steve Guess, officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 am – 12 pm on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Strunk Funeral Home, Sebastian, FL. Mass will be at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Sebastian, FL at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 23, 2019 with Father John Morrissey, celebrant.
