Bernard’s Obituary Bernard W. Meyer “Ben” Benny” Age 72 Late of Grant Park, formerly of Blue Island, IL. Dear father of Wendy Perozzi and Stacy (Phil) Pfeifer. Proud grandfather of Max, Brock, Mason, Cole, Hannah and Olivia.

Beloved brother of Margaret “Bert” (late William) Fredrick, the late Francis Meyer, the late John Meyer and the late Mary Ellen “Babe” Baker. Loving uncle of many nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews and a good friend of “Coffey”. Ben was everyone’s friend.

He loved snowmobiling, boating, water skiing, hunting and his newest favorite thing, watching movies. Ben was a Vietnam War Veteran in the U.S. Army serving as an Infantry Direct Fire Crewman. He received a National Defense Service Medal, Expert Badge (Pistol) and a Sharpshooter Badge (Rifle).

Functions with “Bert” and family will never be the same without Uncle Ben “UB” to keep everyone entertained. Great story telling and laughs, along with goofy nicknames for all. He will be missed.

Family will receive friends Wednesday March 6th at the Hickey Memorial Chapel 442 E. Lincoln Hwy. New Lenox 9 – 11 AM. Funeral Service at 11:00 AM followed by interment of Cremains at Maplewood Cemetery.
