Berta Lopez July 20, 1943 – March 28, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card ZAPATA, TEXAS—Berta Lopez 75, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Falcon Lake Nursing Home in Zapata, Texas. Ms. Lopez is preceded in death by her husband, Alfonso Lopez, Jr.; parents, Nacario and Hermiñia Garcia; brothers, Eden Garcia, Raul Garcia, Hector Garcia, Ernesto Garcia and sisters, Edelma Dominguez. Ms. Lopez is survived by her son, Alfonso III (Azeneth) Lopez, Arturo (Angie) Lopez; daughters, Marciela Lopez (Cenovio Lara), Margarita Hinojosa (Israel Villarreal); grandchildren, Annaly Lopez, Alfonso Lopez IV, Arlo Lopez, Stephany Villarreal, Maria Lopez, Marelin Lopez, Dennique Lopez, Arturo Lopez, Jr., Alyssa Lopez, Alvaro Lopez, Ricardo Paredes, Jose Hinojosa, Karina Hinojosa and Carlos Hinojosa; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Guadalupe Montalvo, Selfi Ramirez, Rosalinda Guerra, Graciela Ramirez, San Juanita Canales and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Sunday, March 31, 2019, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a vigil at 7 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home. The funeral procession will depart on Monday, April 1, 2019 at 9:45 a.m. for a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
