Bessie was born on July 15, 1941 in Mantua, New Jersey to Edgar Shelmire & Catherine Herzberg Shelmire. She formerly worked as a lab technican for Bordons.

She is survived by her children; Christine Shuster of Pottsboro, TX, Brian Kriner of Wellsboro, PA, her sisters; Catherine Doane & Susan Shelmire, her brothers; Edgar Shelmire, James Shelmire, John Shelmire, Jeff Shelmire, one grandchild, other relatives and friends. No services are planned. Arrangements are under the direction of American Funeral Service, Denison, TX.
