Mrs. Bettie Sue Cassady, 89, of Dunnellon, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 12, 2019. A native of Lockhart, Alabama, she and her family moved to Dunnellon in 1945, coming here from Alabama. While professionally she was a private duty nurse, she can best be described as an all around care giver.

She loved to help people, from the very young to the very old. Mrs. Cassady is survived by her two daughters Frances Pumphrey of Altha, Fl, and Barbara Ann Bowen (Melvin), of Ocala; two grandsons Michael and Martin Bowen; one great grandson Darin Summerlin; and one great-great grandson Christopher Summerlin. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Cassady in 2015, and her granddaughter Jeannie Jerkins.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cassady will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at Roberts Funeral Home, 19939 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Dunnellon, with Pastor Russ Randall officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until service time. Interment will follow in Dunnellon Memorial Gardens.
