OBITUARY Betty Addie December 26, 1952 – September 25, 2018 Betty Janice Arnold Addie was born Dec 26, 1952 and was called home on September 25, 2018 after a valiant battle with cancer. Betty was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from Churchill High School in 1971.

Betty worked for TexStar Liftslab, Mike Holloway Homes, and ended her career retiring from Vestal Steel. Betty’s greatest joy in life was spending time with family and friends. People that knew her would describe her as a trusted friend and confidant who loved unconditionally and always saw the best in others.

Throughout her illness her faith did not waiver. She loved Jesus with all of her heart. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Arnold, her mother Lois Arnold and her sister Barbara Schmidt.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 33 years, Bob Addie, her son, Jacob Houser Addie ( Rachel) and their two children, Aiden and Olivia, daughter: Lacy Addie (Devin Lopez) and their son, Ryot; sister: Linda Blize (Roy); her aunt, Dot Patterson (Fred); and brother in law , Pat Schmidt; nieces and nephew: Kelley McLaughlin, Lori Blize, and James Blize. Mother in law, Dee Addie, Sisters in law: Paula Gibbons (Bill) and Betty Johnson (Bill); Brother in law Tommy; nephews, Shane Johnson and Matt Addie and nieces, Randyl Johnson and Emily Addie, 8 great nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by many life-long friends including her high school friends, the 4 Musketeers and her Bunco Beaches.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of all who knew her. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 3:00 pm at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Betty’s honor to the Texas A & M Scholarship Fund and the American Cancer Society.
