Betty Ann Hosek May 02, 1946 – January 18, 2019 Send Flowers Funeral services for Betty Ann Hosek, 72, of Chamberlain will be 10:30 am Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at St. James Catholic Church in Chamberlain with burial in the Union Cemetery at Bijou Hills, SD. Visitation will begin Tuesday at 5:00 pm with a scripture service at 7:00 pm at St. James Catholic Church in Chamberlain. Betty Ann Life was born May 2, 1946 to Howard and Harriet (Gatewood) Life at Omaha, NE.

She attended Central High in Omaha, NE. She worked various jobs in the Omaha area until around 1973 when she moved to Mitchell, SD where she met Larry Hosek. On August 31, 1974, Betty Ann was united in marriage to Larry Hosek at Loomis, SD.

They relocated to Platte, SD in 1975 and Betty Ann began working for Dr. John Steckley. In 1984 they moved to Chamberlain and Betty Ann worked at various jobs including Casey’s General Store from where she retired around 2004. She enjoyed crafting, being creative, and making items for people.

She also enjoyed doing wood burning on signs. She loved her dog Bo. Betty Ann passed away on January 18, 2019 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 72.

Gratefully sharing her life are her husband Larry, son Michael and wife Bonnie, and three grandchildren Tyler and wife Kyndra, Heather, and Aadyn. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers Howard Jr., Joe, and Steve, mother and father-in-law, and a brother-in-law.
