Florence D Ree-Patrich February 23, 1944 – January 05, 2019 Local Florists Funeral services for Florence D. (Ree) Patrich, 74, of Hardin, MT will be 1:00 pm Friday, January 11, 2019 at the Crow Creek Tribal Hall in Fort Thompson with burial in the Christ Episcopal Cemetery at Fort Thompson. Wake services will be 7:00 pm Thursday at the Crow Creek Tribal Hall in Fort Thompson. Florence D. Ree was born February 23, 1944 to Hosea and Eunice (Dillion) Ree.

Florence grew up in Fort Thompson, SD on the Crow Creek Sioux Reservation. She attended school at Fort Thompson Elementary and Gann Valley High School. She lived her early life in Gann Valley, SD where she raised her son, Joe and step-children, Bernell, Ruth and William Jr. In 1984, she then moved to Hardin, Montana and met Charles Patrich.

Soon after they were married, she gained two step-children, Joan and Jim Patrich. Florence and Charlie spent the remainder of their lives together until his passing on December 19, 2018. Florence is survived by her son Joe Ree, grandchildren: Weston Ree, Emerson Ree, Kansas Ree, and Adrian Ree aka Little Sitting Bull; step-daughters Joan Stadtmiller and Ruth Ann (Duane) Songer; step-sons Bernell Wooledge, William Wooledge Jr., and Jim Patrich … whom she all loved more than anything else in the world…almost as much as she loved Bingo, Wheel of Fortune, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, and cigarettes.

She enjoyed the company of family and friends. She enjoyed visiting with Aunts and friends who were in the nursing home. Florence could cook if she needed but she was blessed to have a husband who was a great cook.

They had a wonderful life together. He was her King and she was his Goddess. She didn’t like to brag but she would say over and over she was blessed with beautiful legs.

She was a fun-loving woman, who liked to joke around with her nearest and dearest. She always helped people in need, she was a woman of words and very outspoken, but she also had the side eye glare, the one where you knew “don’t you dare”, and she didn’t like people judging others because we’re not perfect. Florence will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

She was an incredible woman who also took in her sister’s kids as her own. She had an unparalleled zest for life and infectious laugh that thankfully was passed down to her son and his children. She will live on in our hearts, minds, thoughts, prayers, and laughs forever.

Florence passed away on January 5, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, MT at the age of 74 years and 11 months. Florence is survived by her son, grandchildren, step-daughters, step-sons; great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, the Donner’s, Drapeau’s, St. John’s, Hook’s, Barnes’, Ree’s, Wells’, Medicine Crow’s, and Dillion’s from Montana. Preceding her in death were her parents Hosea and Eunice Ree; husband Charles Patrich; son Thomas Ree, her brothers Morris Ree, Ambrose Ree, Hosea Ree Jr., Winefred Ree, Nelson Henry Sr.; sisters Blossom Ree, Florence (Ree) Weston, Goldie Mound, Glorietta (Ree) Wells, Bernice Ree, Doris (Ree) St. John, Grace (Ree) Donner; her niece Linda (Wells) Hook; and her cousin Jim Kellum.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for all the care given by St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, MT and a special thanks to Jim Alexander and Twila Grant. If we have forgotten to mention you please forgive our oversight.
