Betty’s Obituary Betty Brooks Batson age 85, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, at Freedom Church with Rev. Wayne Brooks, Rev.

Doug Akins and Rev. Tim Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Mt.

Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Betty was a life-long resident of Milledgeville. She was preceded in death by her parents George Thomas and Bessie Orell Daniel Brooks, her husband William Home Batson, Jr. and brothers and sister, Cicero, Everette, Tom, Roy, Mack, Shirley, George and Howard Brooks and Dorothy Adams.

She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include a son Aubrey Batson (Lynn), two daughters Donna Oxford (Paul) and Cathy Johnson (Jr. ) a sister Faye Quinn all of Milledgeville, nine grandchildren: Chad Blount (Michele), Jennifer Blount, Katrina Johnson (Al), Beau Batson, Hannah Carter (Cory), T.L. Smith (Susan) and Ryal Smith (Brittney), Matthew (Chrystal) and 14 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Freedom Church. Moores Funeral Home & Crematory has charge of arrangements.
