Obituary for Betty C. Fancher Betty C. Fancher, 80, a life long Rush County area resident passed away December 3, 2018 in Rushville. She was born May 10, 1938 in Rush County to Lowell & Opal (Bogue) Cooley. Betty was a 1956 graduate of Arlington High School.

She married Bobby L. Fancher on October 22, 1961 and became the love of his life for 57 years, living that many years together in the house they had built. Betty was a wonderful wife, mother & grandmother. She was a great Christian Lady joining the Arlington Christian Church in 1948.

She loved to cook, bake, play golf, play cards, mow the yard, work crossword puzzles and read. Betty also loved dogs and enjoyed camping and meeting new people while doing so. She was a very active lady & loved family get togethers.

She worked in banking 25 years and did secretarial work for 20 years. The last 15 years she worked for Meridian Automotive in Shelbyville as a secretary. In addition to her husband, Bobby, of Arlington, she was a proud mother of 2 sons, Todd & Mindy Fancher of Crandell, TX and Chad & Kim Fancher of Osceola, Iowa, a brother, Garry & Connie Cooley of Milroy, a sister-in-law, Regenia Cooley of Noblesville and grandchilren, Jessica & Kyle Stewart and Reese Fancher.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert Cooley. Graveside memorial service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, December 11, 2018 in Arlington East Hill Cemetery with Pastor Gary Holt presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arlington Christian Church.
