Obituary for Betty Fay (Hamilton) Ivy Betty Faye (Hamilton) Ivy, of Caddo Mills, TX, passed away April 19, 2018, at the age of 75. She was born October 13, 1942, in Ft. Benning, GA, to Lewis Newsome and Pauline (Tripp) Hamilton.

Betty lived in Caddo Mills for 18 years and was previously of Mesquite, TX, and West Monroe, LA. She was an avid reader, loved to dance and enjoyed going dancing regularly. Betty was an excellent chef and while in high school she won the Betty Crocker Award which helped her to earn a scholarship.

She was a remarkable mother, doting on her oldest son, Jimmy, until brothers, James and Brian, arrived. Betty touched many lives and will be missed tremendously by all who knew her. Betty is survived by her loving children: James Ivy and wife Linda, Jimmy Shores and wife Tina and Brian Ivy and wife Heather; grandchildren: James Ivy, Jr., Steven Ivy, Joey Shores, Haleigh Ivy, Patrick Shores and Ashleigh Ivy; brother: Ronnie Hamilton; nephew: Ron Hamilton, Jr.; and nieces: Mary Crocker and Beverly Crocker; along with a host of loving relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband: James Franklin Ivy; granddaughter: Regina Shores; and grandson: Brandon Ivy. Graveside services will he held 1:00pm Friday, April 27, 2018, at Dunbar Cemetery, 421 County Road 1301, Emory, 75440, with Randall Bost officiating. A gathering for family and friends will be held Thursday evening at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Royse City Location from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
