Salley – Mrs. Betty Jean Bolton Cooper, 81, entered into her heavenly home on Monday, December 17, 2018. Mrs. Betty Jean is the mother of Sandra (Al) Jeffcoat and Pattie (Mark) Hartley. She is the (MeMe) grandmother of Jamie Jeffcoat, Kelley (Cory) Jeffcoat Smith, Chasity (Lonnie) Boleman, Jr., Brenna (Bob) Crosser, and Ashlee (Tommy) Hooks; and great grandmother of Sevanna Boleman, Lonnie “Trey” Boleman III, Cooper Boleman, Bradley Smith, Bryson Smith, Anslee Hooks, Thomas Hooks, Carson Hooks, Abby Crosser, and Reid Crosser.

Mrs. Betty Jean is the sister of Dorothy “Dot” Bombard, Lucy Hoover, Olin Bolton, J. B. Bolton, Patsy (Floyd) Williams, and Jimmy (Lynn) Bolton; and the sister-in-law of Latrell Williams. Mrs. Betty Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, friend. She loved her church family too.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She fought the good fight for the last five years. She knew the power of prayer; and professed it in her life.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Blizzard Funeral Home. The Service to Celebrate Betty’s life will be 3 pm Thursday at Rocky Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. John O’Cain officiating.

Burial will be in the Salley Oakview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be deacons of the church, and Honorary Pallbearers will be her Sunday School Class. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Cancer Research Institute, National Headquarters, 29 Broadway, 45th Floor, New York, NY 10006-3111 or Rocky Grove Baptist Church at P. O. Box 508 Salley, SC 29137.
