Betty L. (Sackmann) Balot, 85, of Elizabeth, N.J. passed away at home on Sunday, October 14, 2018. Born in Newark, N.J. she has lived most of her life in Elizabeth. Betty was a retired Receptionist at H & R Block Co., Cranford and previously had been a telephone operator for N.J. Bell Telephone.

She was a talented artist. Purple was her favorite color. She made the best cream puffs.

She loved the music of Neil Diamond and she was kind to everyone and everyone loved her in return. Betty is the beloved wife of Quentin Balot, devoted mother of Diana Frank of Allentown, Pa. , Cynthia Balot of Flagstaff, Ariz.

, Selene Rivera and her husband Michael of Bloomfield, NJ, Quentin Balot, Jr. of Woodlawn, Tenn. , and the late James Balot, loving sister of Emma Anderson and Dolores Weitzel, and cherished grandmother of four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Visiting Thursday, 2:00-4:00PM & 7:00-9:00PM.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Friday, October 19, 2018 9:00 am from Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 E. St. Georges Avenue, Linden, N.J. 07036. Funeral mass Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church, Elizabeth 10:00 am. Interment Brigadier General William C.Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Center For Hope Hospice, 1900 Raritan Rd. , Scotch Plains, NJ 07076 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl. , Memphis, Tn 38105 would be appreciated.
