OBITUARY Betty Purser Tanner March 21, 1931 – November 7, 2018 Betty P. Tanner, 87, went to be with the Lord, November 7, 2018 at Greenwood Place, Wrightsville, Georgia. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 9, 2018 at 11:00am in the Mausoleum Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Burial will be private.

The family will greet friends from 10:00am until the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Serenity Foundation, 1022 Hillcrest Parkway, Suite 200, Dublin, Georgia 31021. Mrs. Tanner was born in Cochran, Georgia to the late J.D. and Ruby Jones Purser.

She graduated from Cochran High School. She was a loving mother, homemaker and wife. She is survived by her loving husband, David H. Tanner of Wrightsville; brother, Jerry D. Purser of Athens; daughters, Bonnie Fordham Williams (Wayne) of Kite, Tina Fordham Hutcheson (Todd) of Kite; son, William Donald Fordham of Dublin; seven grandchildren, Amy W. Bates (Tim) of Brunswick, Wendi W. Echols (Robert) of Dallas, Jennifer Williams –Blimeline (Dan) of Marietta, William Benjamin Fordham of Oxnard, California, Christina Fordham of San Francisco, California, Chase Hutcheson of Dublin, Brittany Hutcheson of Kite; and ten great grandchildren.
