Betty Ruth Phillips Cale, age 86, of Selma, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2019. Services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Jimbo Small officiating.

Burial will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. She is preceded by her husband: Allen Cale; parents: Howard Clyde and Corrie Estelle (Berry) Phillips; sister: Barbara Dell Phillips; and brother: William Howard Phillips.

Mrs. Cale is survived by her daughters: Rhonda Kay Cale, Donna Faye Thornell; sons: Robert Micheal Harper, Jeffery Lynn Cale; grandchildren: Michael Shane Hatfield, Crystal Rheaume; great grandchildren: Nolan Alan Rheaume, Catherine Olivia Perry, and numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Cale worked for F.W. Woolworth and Carter’s Drug in Selma for many years as a salesperson and was well liked by many for her kind and thoughtful ways. Pallbearers will be: Michael Shane Hatfield, Robert Harper, Jeffery Lynn Cale, Joshua Shoultz, David Sanders, and Travis The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Perry County Nursing Home in Marion.
