Obituary for Betty Sue Newbern Betty Sue Newbern – 75 Of Lakeland, GA passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Pruitt Health-Valdosta. She was born on February 27, 1944 in Homerville, GA to the late Frank and Tiny Mae Royals. She worked on the farm and was a member of Browning Chapel.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Newbern, Nephew, Mitchel McMillian, and a cousin William Browning. Survivors include: Sister, Hazel Hampton of Jasper, Fl; Brothers and Sister-in-law: Dennis Franklin of Lakeland, GA, Tommy and Deborah Royals; Six nieces and nephews that she raised as her own: Marsha Angelo, Michael Royals, Randy Royals, Alyiah Royals, Rebecca Royals, and Tommy Royals; Nieces and Nephews: Joann Thompson, Ricky Royals, Tommy Royals, Jr, Vicki Isreal, Darlene Bower, Cotton Top, and Angela Royals Carter; numerous extended family members. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 11, 2018 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on June 11, 2018 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the funeral home. As per her wishes she will be cremated after services. Messages of sympathy may be expressed online at www.
