Betty’s Obituary Betty Jo (Franklin) Wells, 85, wife of the late Cletus Wells, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019. Born October 17, 1933 in Anderson County, KY, Betty was the daughter of the late William Haskell Franklin and Katherine (Willard) Franklin. Along with her husband and parents, Betty was preceded in death by a brother, Haskell Franklin.

Betty worked as a beautician for over 30 years and was the owner of Betty’s Beauty Beulah in Frankfort. A member of The Open Bible Church, she enjoyed crafts and cooking. Betty is survived by her two children, Beverly Cunningham and her husband Connie of Lawrenceburg and Rick Wells and his wife Terry of Shelbyville; 5 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a brother, Jerry Franklin of Mt.

Eden; and a sister-in-law, Betty Miller Franklin of Louisville. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 24th from 12 noon – 2 PM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. The service will follow beginning at 2:00 Pm with Pastor Jeff Tyler officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Wells, Jeff Cunningham, Andrew Cunningham, Jacob Cunningham, Dale Carpenter and Blaine Carpenter. Memorials are suggested to The Open Bible Church, 1830 Old Frankfort Road, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342.
