Obituary for Bettye J. Thompson Bettye J. Thompson (nee Woodward) Age 86, of Braidwood, IL, passed away November 23, 2018 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, IL. Born March 11, 1932 in Ravenna, OH to the late Manford and Opal (nee Turpin) Woodward. Bettye enjoyed baking, quilting, and yardwork.

She was a dedicated lifelong caregiver for her youngest daughter, Linda. Surviving are three daughters, Janice (David) Hale of Braidwood, Brenda (Clarence) Heber of Bonfield, IL, and Linda Thompson of Clifton, IL; grandchildren, David A. Hale, Patrick A. Hale, Heather Pickard, Andrea Wolcott; and great grandchildren, Colten Pickard, Connor Pickard, Ethan Pickard, Evan Pickard, Nate Wolcott, and Ben Wolcott. Preceding her in death was her husband, Roscoe Thompson, whom she married June 3, 1950 in Princeton, IN; and 10 brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 2, from 1-4 p.m. and Monday December 3, at 11a.m. followed by the service at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Home & Crematory, at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
