Bettye Lou Davis Pegram, age 83, resident of Oakland, Tennessee and wife of Robert Pegram, departed this life Saturday morning, December 15, 2018 at the National HealthCare Center in Somerville. A Memorial Service for Mrs. Pegram will be held at 2 P.M. Friday, December 21, 2018 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Father Robert “Robbie” Favazza, pastor of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Somerville, officiating. Interment will be private.

A visitation for Mrs. Pegram will be from 1 until 2 P.M. Friday, December 21, 2018 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland. Bettye was born April 10, 1935 in Clarksdale, Mississippi.

She was a graduate of Covington High School and was employed as a Registered Nurse for many years before her retirement. Bettye was married October 31, 1981 to Robert Pegram and was most recently a resident of Oakland, Tennessee. She was a member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Somerville and enjoyed crocheting, cooking, fishing and listening to music.

Mrs. Pegram is survived by her husband of 37 years, Robert Pegram of Oakland, TN; two daughters, Beatrice Davis (J.W.) of Bartlett, TN, Debbie Pegram of Cordova, TN; two sons, Robert J. Pegram (Therese) of Olive Branch, MS, Ulric Pegram of Lakeland, TN; her son-in-law, Richard Tucker; ten grandchildren, Angela Polk (Josh), Derek Pegram, Jill Nichols (T.J.), Jimmy Davis, Jr., Justin Pegram, Danielle Pegram, Matt Tucker (Mary), Jennifer Tucker, Jessica Tucker, Josh Warmath (Lauren); four great-grandchildren, Dakota Polk, Monica Polk, Waylon Tucker, Mallory Warmath; and more great-grandchildren on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Davis and Bobbie Lindsey Davis; her daughter, Christine Tucker; and two sons, Keith Warmath and Steve Warmath. The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
