Obituary for Beulah Burleson Beulah R. Burleson, age 90, of Beaver Creek Road in Spruce Pine, died Monday, June18, 2018 at Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville. Born on May 15, 1928 in Avery County, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Elma Townsend Ramsey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Carl Burleson in 2009, and her sister; Hazel Ledford.

Beulah enjoyed gardening and sharing her canned goods with friends and loved ones, and taking care of her flowers. She was a member of Homemakers for many years. Beulah was also a 4H leader, and devoted herself to working at the church.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters; Patricia Jackson and husband David and Cathy Burleson, her sons; Lawrence Calvin Burleson and wife Shirline and Randy Burleson and wife Donna, her sister; Carolyn Burleson, and eleven grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service honoring the life of Beulah Burleson on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Beaver Creek Baptist Church with the Rev’s. Brandon Pitman, Joel Burton and Bobby Joe Greene officiating.

A time to support the family, share memories and receive friends will be on Thursday June 21, 2018 from 1:00 pm until the service hour at the church. Interment will follow in the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.
