Obituary for Russell E. Macomber Jr. Russell Ellsworth Macomber, Jr., age 74, of Feldspar Street in Spruce Pine, died Friday, July 13, 2018 at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Spruce Pine, NC. Born on April 19, 1944 in Brockton, MA, he was the son of the late Russell E. Macomber, Sr. and the late Verna Louise Young Macomber. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Rosellen Reagan Macomber; his brother; George Macomber; and his sisters; Marilyn Mencer and Deborah Prescott.

Russell was a member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Spruce Pine, NC. He loved his church, church family, and pastor. He was a quiet man with a good sense of humor and was also a caring husband and parent.

He enjoyed golf and watching John Wayne movies. Left to cherish his memories are his son; James Macomber and wife, Heather of Taunton, MA; his daughter; Lisa Macomber of Taunton,, MA; his sisters; Gail Anderson and husband, Richard of Canton, MA and Joyce Peloso of East Bridgewater, MA; his brother; James Macomber and wife, Barbara of Spruce Pine, NC and there are several nieces and nephews. A time to support the family, share memories and receive friends will be on Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Webb Funeral Home.

Additional funeral arrangements will be under the direction of Conley Funeral Home in Brockton, MA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Words of comfort may be e-mailed to the family by going to our website; www.
