Obituary for Beverly Ann Sloan Beverly Ann Sloan, 68, of Hurst, passed away at 8:33 p.m., Thursday, November 29, 2018 in Herrin Hospital with her loving family by her side. Beverly was born June 20, 1950 in Mt. Vernon to Herman and Alice (Wilson) Rich.

She was married to Richard Lee Sloan, Jr He preceded her in death on July 2, 2018. Beverly was a member of Jubilee Tabernacle in Desoto.

Beverly was active in children’s ministry at her church when she was younger. She enjoyed flower gardening, collecting ceramic birds and angels. She loved watching the food network and enjoyed cooking.

Survivors include; four children, Richard (Amy) Sloan of West Frankfort; Tracy Sloan of North Carolina, Kim (Jim) Conaway of Royalton and Joy (Mike) Perry of Surprise, AZ; eight grandchildren; Ryan(Karen) Moffatt, Melissa Moffatt, Justin (Charity) Moffatt, Arilyn Sloan, Zachary (Cassey) Webber, Rebecca Webber, Katie and Steven Perry; two great-granddaughters, Audrey & Sophia Moffatt; one brother, Michael (Bea) Rich; two sisters, Patsy (Jay) McGarrity and Sharon (Al) Tschirhart. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and her dog Cocoa. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and three brothers, Charlie Smith, Junior Smith and Terry Rich.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 6, 2018 in Jubilee Tabernacle, 301 E. Washington Street in Desoto with Rev. Danny Norman officiating. Interment will follow in Hallidayboro Cemetery near Elkville.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the church. Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City is entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
