OBITUARY Beverly Ellen Knecht November 9, 1946 – October 2, 2018 Beverly Ellen Knecht (Goodman), age 71 died October 2, 2018. Beverly was born on November 9, 1946 at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids to Roy and Arlene Knecht. They moved to Kingsley when she was young and while growing up she loved to play the Piano and the French Horn.

Beverly was also a Ballerina, did tap dance, basketball and cheerleading. She graduated in 1965 from Kingsley High School, and then got her certificate to become a Nurse’s Aide. She worked at Munson Medical Care, Birchwood, and Tendercare in Traverse City, MI.

, A lifelong job she loved until she became disabled. Throughout her life she believed and practiced the Baptist Faith. Her favorite bible verse was John 3:16.

Beverly was a great mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt. She married William Goodman on November 10th, 1968 and the couple had 3 children together. They later divorced, and she had her fourth child with Robert McGinnis.

She enjoyed spending quality time with family on any occasion no matter the day. Her family and friends will always remember her as a woman with a bubbly personality. Beverly always reminded us to say, “I Love You”, to everyone we cared about because tomorrow is never promised, and she gave hugs and kisses to everyone no matter who you were.

Beverly is survived by her children Byron Goodman (Allisha Bickle), Evelene (Antonio) Hammock, Vesta (Brian) Seitz, Katrine McGinnis (Jim Modreski), grandchildren Sargent Elijah (Jazmine) McGinnis, Kourtney Krogel, Brandon Seitz, Nicole (Jesse) Trout, Sheryl Goodman, Jade Modreski, Craig Donaldson II, Markus Donaldson, and great-grandchildren Noah Trout, Wayatt Baldwin, Nadine Baldwin, and her other grandchildren Jessica, Jacob, Kaylin, Kaira, Makelah, and Dylan. She is also survived by her sister Kaye (William) Augustine, and her brother Garth Knecht, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Clara (Martin) Miller, both her parents, brothers Gary (MaryAnn) Knecht, Bruce (Lorelei) Knecht, sister Karen Knecht, nephew Scott Mannor, niece Athena Olds, daughter in law Lisa Goodman, and her long loved boyfriend Ray Rice.

The Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.m at Kingsley Baptist Church. Visitation will begin on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service also at the Kingsley Baptist Church. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.
