Obituary for Beverly “Kay” Carrin (Buffalo) Beverly Kay (Rodelander) Carrin, daughter of the late George and Novella (Masters) Rodelander, was born on February 27, 1942, and departed this life on December 22, 2018 at her home near Tunas, Missouri after a long illness. At the time of her passing she was 76 years, nine months, and 25 days of age. Beverly Kay was a life-long member of the Plad Southern Baptist Church and a graduate of Windyville High School.

She worked as a postal mail sorter at the Main Post Office in Kansas City, MO for 17 years. She was united in marriage to William “Bill” Carrin on July 21, 1962 and to this union two children were born, one of whom survives her. Kay, as most people knew her, was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, and aunt.

She loved her family and the Lord Very much. Kay loved to collect dolls and Precious Moments and listen to Southern Gospel Music. She was also a dedicated Kansas City Chiefs Fan.

Kay was preceded in death by her husband Bill; her parents; her son, William Gregory Carrin; and one brother, Jimmie Rodelander. She is survived by her daughter, Bridgett Renee (Carrin) Sprofera; daughter-in-law, Cassie Carrin; one grandson, Frank Giddens; his brother, Rick & wife Denise Rodelander; sister-in-law, Shirley Rodelander; nephew, Jimmie Joe Rodelander; niece, Danielle & husband Matthew Fleetwood; nephew, Ricky & wife Amanda Rodelander; nephew, Randy Rodelander; nephew, Rodney Rodelander; special great-nieces and great-nephews, Brandon & wife Sherrie, Clayton, Mason, Savannah, Matthew, and Joshua. She also leaves other family members and many friends who will all truly miss her.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the Cantlon Otterness & Viets Funeral Home with Pastor Kenny Mizer officiating. Escorts will be Jimmie Joe Rodelander, Ricky Rodelander, Dean Rhodelander, James Griffith, Darren Garrison, and Rodney Rodelander. Honorary escorts will be Randy Rodelander and John Griffith.

Interment will be in the Plad Cemetery under the direction of the Cantlon Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Plad Baptist Church.
