B. Harold Bishop, 78, returned to the arms of our heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 6, 2019. Harold was born on December 26, 1940 in Burlington, Alamance County, North Carolina. He served in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1964.

In 1976, he founded a plastics fabrication company, Duval Plastics, which he operated in Jacksonville, Florida with his son until 2013. Harold enjoyed the outdoors, boating, fishing, working in his garden and studying the Word of God. He will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Banks Warren Bishop and Mildred K. Bishop, and by his first wife, Linda D. Bishop, “Darlene”. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Maria Bishop; son, David Bishop (Melissa); stepchildren, Yvette Koskela (Mark), Joe Garate (Melissa), and Yvonne Paschal (Gregg); and grandchildren, Harley Allen Davidson, Davion Reimer, Nevaeh Reimer, Peyton Darlene June Bishop, and Austin Garate. A graveside celebration of Harold’s life will take place at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Jacksonville Memory Gardens Cemetery 111 Blanding Boulevard, Orange Park, Florida 32073.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Harold’s name to the American Heart Association. To plant a tree in memory of B. Bishop, please visit our Tribute Store.
