Obituary for Bill Douglas Chesbro On September 2, 1950 Bill Douglas Chesbro was born to Wilbert J. and Elizabeth (Lorenz) Chesbro in Los Angeles, California. Most of his childhood was spent in the Philippines where his parents were Baptist Missionaries. Bill returned to the United States as a teenager and graduated from Scottsdale High School.

He joined the Marine Corp and served his country honorably. Bill attended University of California Santa Clara and then moved to Prescott where he had a successful career in the title industry with First American Title and most recently with Yavapai Title Agency. Bill was a voracious reader who always had a book by his side and was so well read he was a formidable foe when playing Trivial Pursuit.

Bill loved to cook and entertained family and friends with his epic meals, barbeques and cantina parties. He was always trying new recipes and cooked global food every chance he had. He traveled extensively and enjoyed his Harley Davidson until an accident in which he lost his right calf.

Bill leaves behind many friends who will miss him, his parents Wilbert and Elizabeth (Bill and Betty), sister Debra Bennetts (Bill), brother John (Jodi) Chesbro and devoted friends Jan Gallagher and Mary Anne Tansey. A military service will be held Friday, February 9, 2018 at Prescott National Cemetery 500 N Highway 89, Prescott at 11:00am. A Celebration of Life will be Friday February 9, 2018 at Yavapai Title Agency, 1235 East Gurley, Prescott from 4:00-7:00pm.
