William Donald “Bill”, 86, was born June 1, 1932 and passed away on January 20, 2019. A lifelong resident of Oklahoma City, he was born to Hugh and Helen Maguire. Bill graduated from St. Gregory’s High School, Shawnee, OK.

In 1955, he received his Bachelor of Science from Central State College. In 1959, he went on to receive a Masters of Education from University of Oklahoma. His parents always stressed the importance of education, so in 1970 he secured a Juris Doctor degree from Oklahoma City University.

Bill married Katherine (Kathy) on January 25, 1958. They were married for 53 years, until she went to her eternal resting place on April 4, 2011. Bill was predeceased by his parents; siblings, Jerry Rupert (Stan), Julia Wheat (Willis), Hugh “Bo” (Thuda), Mac, Anna “Toddy”, and Tony.

He is survived by his children, Theresa “Terri” (Daniel), Mark (Katie); and his grandchildren, Molly (Tony), Natalie (Jeff), Matthew (Morgan), Alex (Madison) and great grandchildren, Piper and Liam. Bill is survived by two of the three musketeers Charlie (Barbara) and Phil (Willie), and brother-in-law Patrick Ryan and sister-in-law Joan Maguire; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family is forever grateful to staffs of the Mansion at Waterford and Frontier Hospice who provided him compassionate care.

Funeral Mass will be held at The Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3214 N. Lake, on Monday, January 28, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in Bill’s name to St. Gregory’s Abbey, 1900 W MacArthur St, Shawnee, OK 74804.
