BOX 106 STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS 76401 254 965 3161 254 965 2699 FAX Billy Dale Allen March 16, 1929—January 23, 2019 Services for Dale Allen, 89 will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Terry Allen and Pastor Russell White officiating. Burial will follow at Proctor Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Friday, January 25, 2019 at the Stephenville Funeral Home.

Dale was born in Lazbuddie, Texas to the late Lankster George Allen and Lorraine (Tate) Allen on March 16, 1929. Dale attended school in Ralls, Texas. He entered the Air Force in 1949, serving his country until 1953.

He was a Master Sergeant and Fighter Plane Mechanic, servicing aircraft during the Korean War. In 1950, Dale married Phyllis Jean Behrends and from this union were born three children. Dale worked as a Farm Equipment Salesman the span of his career where he enjoyed meeting people and talking the Agri-Business.

On May 2, 1981, Dale married Vera Mae (Howell) Brooks and they celebrated 37 years of marriage. Dale was a past member of the Proctor Baptist Church where he served as deacon. At the time of his death, he was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Stephenville.

The last years of Dale’s life were spent at home in Stephenville, Texas. Dale was an avid reader and he enjoyed tinkering around the house while keeping up with his grandchildren on Facebook. Survivors include his wife, Vera Allen of Stephenville; children, Terry Dale Allen and wife Joyce Marie of Quanah, and Keith Allen and wife Emily of Valley Mills, and LaTonia Jean Hohweiler and husband Marvin of Bel Air, KS, Lori Brooks Jaquess and husband David of Arlington, Lisa Gonzales and husband Danny of Kemp, and Mark Brooks of Dallas; grandchildren, Ross Allen and wife Emily, Mandi Jalamo and husband Richard, Cory Hohweiler and wife Marjorie, Chris Westphal and wife Robyne, Barbie Sloan and husband Josh, Jared Hohweiler and wife Jennifer, Eric Hohweiler and wife Lara, Michael Dale Allen and wife Krystal, Brooke Elegbede and husband Muhammed, Shay Stripling, Trevor Stripling and wife Christina, Garet Lowe, Clayton Lowe, and Whitman Lowe; and 17 great-grandchildren.
