Family and friends will celebrate her life on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Stephenville Funeral Home. Visitation begins at 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM Saturday morning at Stephenville Funeral Home.

Interment will be immediately following at Erath Garden of Memories in Stephenville. Ruth was born in Winters, Texas on April 9, 1923, to Elnora and Warren Graham. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.

She was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed cooking and baking, especially pies for the school bake sales. She was well known for the best chocolate pies in town! Ruth was also an active member of the PTA and is remembered by many band students as a fun “chaperone” on the band trips.

She was a member of First Baptist Church and for many years sang beautifully in the church choir. Ruth loved music and shared stories of many group trips she made to hear her favorite artists perform. She was also a top-selling Avon Representative for 40 years and her customers were always greeted with that beautiful smile and a lipstick sample!

She is survived by her son, Bill Bailey of Stephenville and daughter, Betty Moss of Granbury, as well as five grandchildren: Renee Stevens and husband Michael of Lubbock, Tammy Tulk and husband Dana of Wichita, Kansas, Amy Jokel and husband Don of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Brandi Bailey of San Angelo and Jason Bailey and wife Yesenia of Cypress. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren: Samantha Daniel of Mansfield, Zackary Riley of Brooklyn, New York, Kennedale Bailey of Cypress, Jordan Bailey of Wichita Falls, Micah Bailey of Cypress, Hannah Johns of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Joci Tidey of Kingswood, Brian Stevens of Lubbock, Trinity Bailey of Cypress, and one great-great granddaughter, Makenzie Daniel of Bedford. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Bob Bailey, her loving husband of 53 years, Jack (Doc) Bailey, 8 siblings and many nieces and nephews.

Ruth was often heard saying, that “can’t” was not in her vocabulary! We know that to be true as she was indeed a very strong and independent woman and loved by many. She will be missed and especially for those “Happy Birthday” calls that blessed many.
