Billy Joe Lawson of Park Hills, MO passed away on May 21, 2019 at the age of 81 years, 7 days. Bill was born May 14, 1938 in Bonne Terre, MO; a son of the late Luther and Dora (Fairchild) Lawson. On February 20, 1965 Bill was united in marriage to Sherry (Harbison) Lawson who survives.

To this union two sons were born; Shawn (Tamara) Lawson, and the late William “Brent” Lawson. Surviving Bill are his loving wife Sherry, one son Shawn, two sisters, Reva Weekly of AZ, Beverely Stacy of Park Hills, MO, three grandchildren, Savannah, Sawyer, Seth and a host of loving family and friends. Bill is preceded in death and welcomed into heaven by his parents, his son William, three brothers; Damon Lawson, Jewel ” Joke” Lawson, Freddie Lawson, three sisters; Bonnie Byington, Wilma Byington, and Berta Hedrick.

Bill served his Country in the Unites States Army, he owned and operated his own auto service company “Lawson’s MFA”. Bill is a member of the Leadwood Masonic Lodge #598, and a member of the Shriner’s. Bill was a devoted loving husband to his wife Sherry, a loving father to his children, and a loving grandfather to his grandchildren.

Bill will be truly missed by all but will never be forgotten. Funeral Services for Bill will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 1:00 pm from the Cole Family Chapel. Visitation period will begin Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 11:00 am.
