BIRDIE LEE DOTSON MAY, 85 years of age of Hurley, VA, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 at her home. Born December 16, 1933, in Pike County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Clell and Mary Justus Dotson. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother.

She was a wonderful homemaker and loved her family more than anything. Birdie was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1-Grandddaughter, 3-Brothers… Read More » and 4-Sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 65-years, Herbert May of Hurley, VA; her sons, Herbert Lee and wife Jenny, Bobby and wife Tammy, Randy, Jeff and wife Bonnie, Les and wife Becky, all of Hurley, VA, Joey and wife Jessica of Rosedale, VA; her daughter, Gail and husband Danny of Hurley, VA; 11-Grandchildren, 17-Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for BIRDIE LEE DOTSON MAY will be conducted Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Elders: George Baker, Roger Coleman, Bobby Matney and Johnny Matney officiating. Burial will follow in the family cemetery at her homeplace on Paw Paw of Hurley, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Monday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M. Active Pallbearers will be grandsons. Grundy Funeral Home of Grundy, VA is honored to serve the family of BIRDIE LEE DOTSON MAY.
