Blanche Smith “Sue” Pate, 86, of Kinston passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018, at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. She is preceded in death by her sister, Mary Alice Smith; brothers, Hubert Smith, Leroy Smith, and Casper Smith, Jr. Sue is survived by her husband of 66 years, Leo Pate of the home; daughters, Jennifer Pate Evans and husband James of Kinston, Kelly Pate Davis and husband R.J. of Dover; grandchildren, Jaime Evans Carroll and husband Trey and Robert Davis, III; special friend, Barbara Vause and her Bojangles friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Friday, May 4, 2018, at Garner Funeral Home.

Funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. Graveside service will follow the funeral service at Pinelawn Memorial Park. Flowers are welcome, or memorials may be made to the Lenoir County SPCA, 2455 Rouse Rd. Ext.
