OBITUARY Blue April 7, 1934 – October 4, 2018 Bluessard Sylve passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at the age of 84. He was born in Diamond, LA to the late John Felix Sylve and Alma Casbon. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife Mildred Delta Sylve; a sister, Mildred Phillip and brothers, Benjamin and George Sylve.

Blue is survived by his sons, Bluessard A. Sylve (Cherrie), Jr, Dickie Sylve, Sr. (Betty), Steven B. Sylve (Melissa), Leo Paul Sylve; daughters, Stephanie Buras (Seaun), Allyson Maechling (Tommy), Rebecca Sylve and Lisa Fernandez (Sal); sisters Audrey, Alma, Monica and Camile as well as 26 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. Blue was a loyal employee of the Sewerage and water board for 40 years before retiring. He loved the racetrack and he loved his family and friends.

He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Catholic Funeral Service in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, on Monday, October 8, 2018 at 11am.

Public visitation is from 10am until the time of the service. Interment will take place at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum following the chapel service. To leave condolences and sign the guestbook online, please visit www.
