OBITUARY Fara Cusimano Coates August 13, 1920 – September 29, 2018 Fara Cusimano Coates, 98, passed away from natural causes on September 29, 2018 at her home in Kenner, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gaspar Cusimano and Annie Latino Cusimano; husband, Ophie T. Coates, Jr.; daughter, Carol Coates Randon; and her son, John M. Coates; sisters, Annabelle Cusimano James and Gloria Cusimano Hutchinson. She is survived by her sons, Allen R. Coates Sr. (Cheryl), and Thomas P. Coates (Linda); grandchildren, Laurie Randon Munster (Carl), Steven Randon (Clee), Allen Coates, Jr. (Tracy), Michael Coates (Elizabeth), Mark Coates (Jackie), Scott Coates (RaeAnn), Jason Coates, and Jeffrey Coates (Mary); numerous great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews, including Martha James Fradella (Joe).

The family wishes to thank the caring staff of Notre Dame Hospice, especially Azena, Barbara, and Dr. Pat. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a funeral mass on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 775 Harrison Ave. , New Orleans, Louisiana 70124 with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. A graveside service will follow the funeral mass at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum, 5454 Pontchartrain Blvd.
