Bobbie “Bob” Gerald Bowlin, 80, of Athens, AL, passed away May 14, 2019. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and US Navy Reserve. Mr. Bowlin was retired from the Internal Revenue Service.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 6-7 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 1p.m. in Greenview Memorial Park with his nephew, Reverend Bart Bowlin officiating. Mr. Bowlin was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Opal Bowlin; sisters, Jeanette Hale, and Karla Jane Cohen; brother, Don Bowlin; and Mary Bowlin.

He is survived by his sons, Greg Bowlin (Beverly), and Steve Bowlin (Missy); daughter, Jill Bowlin; sister, Tammy Bowlin Messer; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
