OBITUARY Bobbie Joe Pitts March 8, 1934 – September 12, 2018 PELION – A graveside service for Bobbie Joe Pitts, 84, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 17, 2018 at Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel. Mr. Pitts was born March 8, 1934 in Lagrange, GA, and passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018.

He was the son of the late Lula and Edgar Lee Pitts. Mr. Pitts retired from Allied Freight after 40 years and served our country in the U.S. Navy for four years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman who loved riding four-wheelers with his kids and grandkids.

He also loved spending time with his beloved dog, Tinkerbell. Mr. Pitts is survived by his sons, Larry Joe, Bobby Lamar and Richard Lee Pitts; grandchildren, Billy Pitts, Melissa Ward, Kelly Lynn Pitts, Christopher Lamar Pitts, Travis Lee Pitts, Danny Lee Pitts, Leah Evon Pitts, Zachery Gantt; great-grandchildren, John Thomas Loring, Colten Taylor Murphy, Isabella Lynn Pitts, Mallory Pitts, Collin Pitts, Grayson Pitts, Tristin Pitts and his companion/friend, Janice Stone. He was predeceased by his wife of 44 years, Janice Faye Pitts.
