Margaret Wolfe Taylor, 81, of Gaston, SC passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018. She was born September 17, 1937 and spent over 20 years as a payroll clerk for TeePak. She was born in Sandy Run, SC and is the daughter of the late James William Wolfe and Mary Kaigler Wolfe.

Ms. Taylor was very active in her community. She was a member of Denny Southern Methodist Church, Bon Ami Club, Tri County Electric Benevolent Committee, a founding member of Sandy Run Woman’s Club, and a former member of Sandy Run Museum Board. She is survived by her daughters: Peg (John) Nelson, Kathy (Jim) Sturkie; grandchildren Jesse (Brittani) Nelson, Margaret (JD) Ellisor, Taylor (Kathryn) Sturkie, Alex Surkie; four great grandchildren; a brother Billy (Ann) Wolfe and sister Carolyn (Delbert) Makel; and a long time dearest friend, Freda Spigener.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse T. Taylor, parents Mary and Jimmy Wolfe, and brother Richard (Carolyn) Wolfe. Visitation will be held Friday from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the home of Peg and John Nelson at 141 Old Sandy Run Road, Gaston, SC 29053. Graveside services will be at the Kaiger-Davis Family Cemetery Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 11:00 am.
