Bobbie Nell Norris, 76, of Groves, Texas passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur. Bobbie was born March 24, 1942 in Winnsboro, Louisiana to Claude Oatis and Sally Cooper Oatis. She was formerly of Winnsboro, Louisiana before moving to this area 8 years ago.

Bobbie retired as a Licensed Vocational Nurse with over 20 years of service, and was a member of New Light Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Reverend Gregory Oatis, Sr. and wife Judie of Groves, TX; three sisters, Maxcine Davis and husband Nathaniel of San Francisco, CA, Lucille Johnson of Seattle, WA, Helen Lee of Tacoma, WA, and Linda Carlin of Houston, TX; four grandchildren, Tawana Renee Blaylock, Jessica Marie Wilkerson, Jennifer Nicole Oatis, and Gregory Andre Oatis, Jr.; six great-grandchildren, Herman Scott, Steven Wilkerson, Jamar Shropshire, Christian Wilkerson, Jayden Oatis, and Honor Blaylock. A memorial service was held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Gregory Oatis, Sr. officiating.
