Bobby Jackson Tucker, 86, of Kannapolis, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018. He was born July 12, 1931 in North Carolina to the late Chrome and Emmaline Whitley Tucker. Bobby served in the U.S. Marine Corp.

during the Korean War. He was a very hard worker and a good provider to his family. Bobby was also preceded in death by his brothers, Gene, Worth, and Boyd Tucker; sister Ruby Rushing; granddaughter, Emilia Rojas, and his great-great- grandson, Zachary Schweitzer.

He is survived by his daughters, Wanda Starnes, Brenda Gonzalez and Sherri Rojas, and sister, Willie Mae Bost. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends and have their viewing at his home on Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 6-8pm.

A graveside service will be at 11am on Monday, June 25, 2018 at St. James the Greater Cemetery in Concord. Memorials may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Tucker family.
