Howard Milton Chaney, 72, of Concord, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. He born May 6, 1946 in North Carolina to the late John and Sudie Chaney . Howard was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and planting his garden.

He was a very hardworking man that was very giving. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be on Saturday at 6:00 pm also at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Matthew Fowler. Survivors include wife, Pat Chaney; daughters, Lisa Fowler, Linda Thomas (Gary), Cassie Chaney (Lesley); son, Jonathan Chaney; brother, John A. Chaney III; sister, Hilda Troutman; grandchildren, Madison Fowler, Destiny Thomas, and Sydney Thomas. Memorials may be made to Patriot Riders.
