James Alan White passed away peacefully June 11, 2018. He was proceeded in death by his youngest daughter, Caitlyn Elizabeth White, and his father James Franklin White. He is survived by his wife Lessie of 26 years.

Together they have four children. Chelsea (Justin) Hathcock of New London, Celia (Darren) Ferguson of Tasmania, Australia, and Cody White of Locust. His grandchildren are Alexis, Zachary, and Landon Hathcock, Elijah and Levi Ferguson.

Jim is also survived by his mother, Marlene White, his sister Peggy Atkinson (Tim), 2 nephews, John (Kait) and Josh Atkinson. Jim was a faithful employee of Lake Electric for over 25 years. He served faithfully for many years at Gleaning Mission Church, Oakboro.

He enjoyed his grandchildren and their Dachshund named Stretch. Jim also enjoyed fishing, gardening, raising chickens and hosting family meals. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday June 12, 2018, from 5:00 until 6:00 at Gleaning Mission Church, East 8th Street, Oakboro, NC, with a Celebration of Life to follow at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hartsell Funeral Home, c/o James White Account, PO Box 7, Albemarle, NC 28001; or credit card by calling 704-888-5571.
