Patricia Sims Bowling, 75, of Monroe, passed away Monday, June 4, 2018. Pat was born January 5, 1943 in Concord to the late George and Frances Sims. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Gary Sims.

Pat was a graduate of Concord High School. She lovingly raised her son in Wrightsville Beach and Raleigh, prior to moving to Monroe. She loved spending time with Jeff and Jade at the beach house.

Pat’s career as an LPN began at Monroe Rehabilitation in 1991. She loved caring for her residents as if they were extended family. Pat will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include son, Jeff Bowling; granddaughter, Jade Bowling; Jade’s mother, Catina Femi; nephew, Gary (Lisa) Sims; niece, Donna Sims; great nieces, Katie Ewell and Chrissy Lambert; great-great niece, Aubry Ewell; dearest friend, Robin Grismer; and beloved pet, Winston. A memorial service to celebrate Pat’s life will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, May 9, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord, officiated by Rev. Roy Barbee.
