Sarah Ruth Wagoner, 95, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Stanly Manor. Mrs. Wagoner was born May 29, 1923 in Rowan County to the late Floyd Dewey Beck and the late Callie Ruth Beck. She was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, J. Aaron Wagoner; sisters, Blanche Gardner, Thelma Moose, Margaret Daugherty, Dewie Fish and a brother Floyd “Bud” Beck.

Sarah was a member of First Lutheran Church, where she was an active member in the Blanket Makers for over 40 years. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM – 1:45PM, Tuesday, July 31, 2018 in the church parlor First Lutheran Church, 230 South Second Street, Albemarle. The funeral service will follow in the church sanctuary at 2:00PM officiated by Rev.

James Laurence. Burial will be held at the Brookhill Memorial Gardens at 8675 Hwy 52 in Rockwell. Survivors include daughters, Peggy Eddins and husband Donald and Connie Rosenbaum and husband Ed all of Albemarle; grandchildren, Tony Eddins and wife Kristi, David Eddins and wife Olivia, and Megan Watson and husband Michael; five great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Adams; and brother, Norman “Gene” Beck.

Memorials may be made to the Blanket Makers of First Lutheran Church, 230 South Second Street, Albemarle, NC 28001. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Wagoner family.
