Bonita “Bonnie” Whetter, 72, of The Villages, FL passed away peacefully on July 24, 2018. She was born on October 5, 1945 in Green Bay, WI to Andrew and Florence Boyce. She was a member of many groups in The Villages, and a Guardian ad Litem at CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for children).

Bonnie enjoyed golfing, bowling, travel, and spending time with her family. Bonnie was an avid reader and was a member of book clubs and the Red Hat Society. Bonnie will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 52 years, Edward Albert Whetter; loving mother of Jessica (Ken Orlando), and Edward (Connie DeBlasio); fond grandmother of Carina, Giada, and Pierce; dear sister of the late Mary (Knute) Barnes, the late Sue Fisher, Lynn (David) Norton, Jack (late Grace) Boyce, Rita (late Robert) Hoey, the late Daniel (Mona) Boyce, Michael (Barbara) Boyce, Phyllis (late Don) Pociopa, Monica Richards, Julie (Michael) Lepp; dear sister in law of Nancy (late Charles) Minkalis; and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews and dear friend to many.

Memorial Visitation will be 9am until the Celebration of Life service at 11am, Sunday, August 5, at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W. Main Street (Lake-Cook Rd) Barrington, IL 60010. There will also be a memorial service held in Florida at a later date.
