Obituary for Bonnie Lea Calihan Print Bonnie Lea Calihan, 67, died Sunday, February 17, 2019 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City. She was born November 2, 1951 in Russell, Kansas the daughter of Cecil Jason & Joan (Vlavin) Pruitt. Bonnie moved with her family to Oklahoma when she was a child.

In 1959, they moved to Garden City where Bonnie has lived since. On May 3, 1972, she married Mike Calihan in Garden City. Bonnie worked most of her life as an administrative assistant for Brookover’s and Gary Viterise.

She enjoyed reading, spending time on the computer, and was an avid college football and basketball fan, especially the Kansas State Wildcats. Survivors include a sister Patricia “Patti” Hoffman of Garden City. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City with Rev. Warren Stecklein officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.

Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m.t o service time Thursday all at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City.
